My trip up in G-BEZR on the 4.6.06. It was close to my eldest son Peter’s birthday and it was arranged for us all to go to Sandown Airport here on the Isle of Wight for a family lunch, I was asked to bring my cameras as there was going to be some special planes about, or so I was told. My birthday was also due in a week so my son gave me a birthday card, it contained a ticket to go up in the plane with only a few minutes to think about it! Not being able to get out of it we climbed aboard! The flight was much better than I expected and we were back down after a short flight of 15 minutes going over Arreton, East Cowes, Ryde, & Bembridge flying at 120 MPH. |
